VehicleRECOVER Tracking System Instructions
1. After you "Login", your Device List will appear listing all of your devices
2. Click "Track" (right side of page). The Mapping page will appear
3. On the Mapping page, click "Locate" once to find your vehicle (takes 10-30 seconds)
4. The last successful location shows as a blue balloon on the map
5. The address and speed (if moving) shows up in the column, left of the map
6. To change the mapping view, click "Map", "Satellite" or "Hybrid" located on the upper right hand corner of the mapping page.
Setting "Alerts"
On the mapping page click "Alerts" (located above map, right-side of page)
This screen allows you to specify the cell phone number(s) and email address(es) where the alerts for speed, geofence and unit disconnect are sent.
1. Enter Cell phone number(s) 10 digit number e.g. 8581234567
2. Enter email address(es) in email field
3. Click "Save"
After settings are confirmed, "On" will appear to the right of Alerts on mapping page.
Setting "Speed" Limit Alert
You can set alerts for excessive speed. If this speed is exceeded, you will be notified.
1. Click "Speed" above map on mapping page
2. Select a speed limit from drop down list.
3. Click "Save"
After settings are confirmed, "On" will appear to the right of "Speed" on mapping page
Setting a "Geofence" Alert
Create a boundary where you are notified when your vehicle enters or exits.
1. Click "Geofence" above map on mapping page
2. Follow example and enter address in long form
3. Set Radius (0.1 - 624) miles
4. Click "Preview". Your settings appear on small map to the right of your settings.
5. When previewed address and radius are correct click "Save"
After settings are confirmed, "On" will appear to the right of Geofence on mapping page
Setting a "Disconnect" Alert
Disconnect alerts are sent when power to your unit is disconnected for more than one minute
1. Click "Disconnect" above map on mapping page
2. Click "Enable"
After settings are confirmed "On" will appear to the right of Disconnect on mapping page
Using the Integrated Voice Response (IVR) system to access your device(s) from your phone
First, make sure your phone number is in our database.
1. In your web browser, go to the web address www.vehiclerecover.com and login
2. Your Device List will appear showing the serial number(s) and nickname(s) of your device(s)
3. Click "Account Info" in the menu bar.
Make sure your phone number is in the "Phone" field. If not click "Edit Information" and enter your 10 digit phone # without dashes (-) ex. 9545551212. Take note of your IVR password, which you will need if ever calling from a different phone number.
4. Click "Save"
Making the call
1. From your phone dial 1-888-744-0527
If you are calling from the same number listed in your 'Account Info' page, then the IVR will recognize you. If you are calling from a different phone number, you will be prompted to enter the phone number for your account, and your IVR password.
2. You will then hear a personal welcome message
Selecting a device
If you have one device in your account, there is no need to select a device, and you will be taken straight to the main menu.
If you have more than one device in your account, you have two options for selecting a device:
A. You can press 1 to enter the serial number of one of your devices, or
B. Listen for the device you want as the system lists them out for you. The system uses the nicknames you entered for your devices (on the website) when listing them out. Devices with blank nicknames are not be listed. When you hear the device you want to select, say the nickname (in the same way the system says it), or press the number listed for that device.
If there are more than seven devices in your account, you can press 9 to here more devices. The system will continue this way until all of your devices have been listed.
IVR Main Menu
Once you have selected a device, you will hear the main menu:
1. Say "Locate" or press "1" to locate your vehicle right now
2. Say "Address" or press "2" to get your vehicle's last known address
3. Say "Set Instafence" or press"3" to set a small geofence around your vehicle
4. Say "Unset" or press "4" to remove small geofence from around your vehicle
5. Say "New Device" or press "5" to choose another device from your account
